How Does IPL Work?
If no other treatments are performed, an IPL photofacial at our American Fork, UT office can be completed in around 20 – 30 minutes in one of our minor procedure rooms. To start the photofacial, your technician will clean and dry your skin before protecting your eyes with covers. The IPL photofacial is administered using a handheld device that will pass over the skin while emitting pulses of light energy. I’ve been getting laser hair removal done here with Jen for six months and wanted to wait to leave a review until I knew what the results were. I have been blown away! I have had laser hair removal before and it made me so anxious and I hated it in the past because of the pain and the results were fine, but I knew I’d need to go for at least 18 months to get the results I was hoping for. Jen assured me that her top of the line machine wasn’t painful and I could get the results I was hoping for in approximately 6 treatments. I was skeptical that it would work. But it really has worked amazingly and the results have been significantly better and faster than my past experiences! I keep buying more packages because I believe in their laser hair removal and won’t go anywhere else!

Nuvida really is a beautiful, comfortable, safe and friendly place for those who are looking for a little help in aging more gracefully. My first procedure I had done was with the IPL laser and I loved it. I have since gone back for OPUS and hormone replacement therapy. I have loved my results from the laser therapies but the support and treatment with my hormone levels has honestly improved my quality of life so much. I’d highly recommend talking to Jen and her staff if you have ever thought about getting some of these procedures done. They are so knowledgeable and will make you feel right at home.
I can’t say enough good things about NUVIDA and the owner Jen! The medspa scene in Utah can sometimes feel a little judgy and toxic (iykyk) but Jen has created a unicorn: a non-intimidating, beautiful, inviting, high-end space. I was sold when I read something she wrote that said, “come as you are and leave feeling loved.” She went above and beyond to answer my questions ahead of time via text and didn’t make me feel silly for asking them in the first place. She’s kind, welcoming, fun to chat with, professional, and clearly passionate about providing the best experience to her clients. Can’t wait to go back to try another service later this week!

How much does IPL cost?
Your complexion issues are unique, so your cost for IPL treatments will vary based on your unique concerns. How quick are the results from IPL?
Improvements can be seen following one IPL treatment, but final results develop a month after a full series of treatments is completed. It’s normal for your skin to see different responses following every session. You should notice gradual improvements in redness, blotchiness, and spots (age, brown, and sun) over time.
What are the possible side effects of IPL?
You may have mild side effects like temporary redness, swelling, bruising, blisters, or crusting. These subside 2 – 3 days following your treatment. You will be sun-sensitive, and you should keep in mind that sun exposure can affect your results. You should also wear sunscreen to protect your skin and prevent problems like redness and spots.
